Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English model and actor who was known in the late 90s as Hugh Grant's lover, was a former English model. In 1994 as Grant began to draw the world's media due to his worldwide box-office success of his movie Four Weddings and a Funeral Hurley was with him at the film's Los Angeles premiere in a plunging black Versace dress, which she secured with the gold safety pins, which earned an instant attention from the media. One of the highlights of Hurley's professional journey has been her affiliation with the cosmetics brand Estee Lauder. Hurley's first modelling job was at Estee Lauder, when she was only 29 years old. Since then, she has worked as a model from 1995 to promote their cosmetics, notably perfumes like Sensuous Intuition or Pleasures. The most famous film performance was when she played Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers famous spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley is the designer and model of a line of beachwear named after her. A few critics accused it of promoting homosexual relationships, however others claimed its explicit depiction of sexuality was intended for men to entice them into fantasies. But the mixture of titillation and polished melodicism helped I Kissed a Girl become the number one song throughout the world, driving sales for her album One of the Boys (2008). With its bouncy sharp-tongued second track Hot N Cold also proving to be a hit, the album which Perry recorded herself later registered greater than three million copies within the United States.
